“The Secret Door Opens if You Crawl Beneath” tells of a paradoxical and hidden concept, a precious heirloom for those who own it, a nuisance for those who do not.
“The Secret Door” is the gateway to self-discovery, characterized by infinite and often bizarre facets. Reaching it does not follow conventional paths and is often distrusted by those who look at it from the outside.

But by making ourselves uncomfortable, aware of possible wounds (so if we “Crawl Beneath”), the secret door magically opens without the keys.

This piece has been composed for the “Maurice Quartet” on the occasion of quartet’s masterclass held at “Conservatorio G. Verdi” of Turin between 2022 and 2023.
